Dear resident of Stockland Green,
We are contacting you to share some of the work we have been doing recently. Our team conducted a successful drugs operation last week around South Rd, Summer Rd and Gravelly Lane, whereby two males were arrested for the supply of Class A drugs. Enquiries are still on going with suspects on bail. This operation was conducted as a result of excellent information given to us by members of the public with concerns regarding drug use and dealing in their neighbourhood. This positive action has helped to alleviate some of this ongoing problem. We also had arrests of two wanted prolific shop lifters this week for ‘Failing to Appear’ warrants. We have had a supported exempt accommodation meeting which was attended by our HMO lead, a Dedicated Neighbourhood Officer and many of our external partners. This included 15 landlords and managing agents. Various topics were discussed including ASB and improving the eviction process of tenants. Seven members of Birmingham City Council were also in attendance, who play a vital role developing and relaying legislation, to ensure this is adhered to by our Housing providers. Multiple support services were also in attendance including the homeless team and support workers. They will ensure that tenants are giving back to the community i.e. being linked into building up volunteering programs with a diversion focus to get them back into work and focus on employment opportunities.
Your support is always appreciated, and we will do what we can to continue to make Stockland Green a safe place to live.
Best regards Stockland Green Neighbourhood Policing Team
